About the Artist

As a young girl, I remember always having a strong passion for art and design. I would sketch and paint, design basic décor for my parents’ home, rearrange furniture, and always gave my artwork as gifts.

I decided early on I wanted to attend LSU for their accredited Interior Design Program. Achieving admissions first into LSU and then into the program’s selection process, I enjoyed my studio classes for my major of Interior Design and simultaneously pursued a minor in Fine Arts. Developing skill sets with different mediums, my strongest genres were always paint on canvas, pencil, pen and ink, and photography. The nature of my industry drove me to gain strong skills in graphic design and content layout for presentations and client services.

After years as an interior designer and obtaining my license, I worked in corporate interiors, then shifted gears to have more personal interactions as a sales manager in furniture and commercial interior architecture. I always had a lifelong goal to own my own business, but never quite knew what they looked like. As I have been able to re-find my joy of creating, I started to make greeting cards, paint more artwork, and get the itch to design again. Creating art in all forms is a passion that will never leave me.

Kathryn Williams is a licensed interior designer who recently set aside her commercial experience in design and sales to pursue her lifelong goal to own her own business. With a degree from Louisiana State University, residential custom lighting sales, corporate workplace and hospitality projects, and luxury sales under her belt, she is interested in applying her knowledge to the residential and free-lance realm.
